Page Ostrow ~ Q&A ~ OstrowandCompany.com ~ DISTRIBUTION ~

PART 1
I had the pleasure of doing a Q&A with Advisory Board Member of VCF & Award Winning Distributor Page Ostrow about her Company & Clients:

VCF~ asked Page about her background in Distribution & when did Ostrow and Company begin?

Page~ I have been in the theatrical distribution business for over 20 years and has represented over 250 films since the late 1990's.

VCF~ Who are some of the Producers you have represented?

Page~ Mark Wahlberg/Leslie Neale for "Juvies"
Kevin Booth for "American Drug Wars"
Fiona Cochrane for "Four of a Kind"
Len Morris for "Stolen Childhoods"

VCF~ Is there a fee to have your company represent a Producer, and what
is the fee?

Page~ Yes, there is a standard retainer fee for representation that changes
each year.

VCF~ Tell us about some the recent success stories.

Page~ Mark Wahlberg/Leslie Neale film "Juvies" was recently sold to HBO
for over 6 figures after having been passed over twice by that same
company.  Also, after this project was sold and screened, one child
featured in the film was released after being wrongly accused.

Director/Producer Ben Lemoine's film "The Experiment" was recently
sold to Starz networks - STARZ IN BLACK - directly from Page Ostrow's
pitch.

VCF~ What kind of films do you primarily represent?

Page~ We represent all types of films - from Narrative to Documentary to
Experimental.   Our specialty is socially conscious films and message
projects that are looking for a home.

Stay tuned for Part 2

Vegas Cine Fest "Awesome Testimonial" from Filmmaker "Loney Childress"....

I entered "Vegas Cine Fest" this year with my Movie, "Don't Call Me a Hero". Philip and Maria kept me informed every step of the way and quickly answered all my questions. My crew and myself attended our movie as well as others and found the entire process very entertaining. We especially enjoyed the emphasis on being able to question the crews that made the films (as well as us being able to answer the questions as well). The award ceremony was entertaining as well. We enjoyed the band, the Blues Brothers, the comedians, and the entire experience. Thank you for a great festival.
